You can choose to have these additional skills formally recognised on your degree title when having completed a minimum of 60 credits in the same language by the end of your undergraduate studies.

We also work closely with Modern Languages colleagues on our other campuses. Find out more about our cross-campus language study options via the Language Centre webpages.

The Cornish language attracts attention from linguists worldwide due to its unique structure and the fact that it is, globally, one of only a tiny number of languages which are considered to have been successfully revived. Learning Cornish also provides you with access to a lively and vibrant community of Cornish speakers and cultural practitioners. Additionally, as a future global citizen, you will travel, live, and work in countries across the world where different language communities cohabit and play an important part in the way society is configured. This is why it makes a difference to learn a second language and get the skills you develop with it named on your degree title too.
