Research

"HaSS Cornwall is a hub of outstanding interdisciplinary research and impact across the humanities and social sciences. Rooted in disciplinary excellence and driven by real-world challenges, our work contributes to shaping the world we live in."

We build on the strengths of our home disciplines as platforms for curiosity-driven inquiry, while actively engaging with the most pressing issues of our time. From climate change and environmental justice to questions of identity, conflict, democracy, and the role of science and technology, we address global challenges through collaboration and partnership – working across disciplines and beyond the University to contribute to knowledge and to generate meaningful, lasting impact.
