Dr Samer Bakkour

September- 2020 Lecturer in Arabic and Islamic Institute, University of Exeter. Commencing work as lecturer, and starting to teach and supervise students. As point of responsibility, I am the convenor and lead for two Modules one for MA students “State and Society in the Middle East”, and the other module for undergraduate students "Home Lands" to "Host States": Migration, Displacement and Diaspora in the Middle East”.

2019 Present Research Associate, Arabic and Islamic Institute, University of Exeter. Start working with prof. Gareth Stansfield the head of the institute in the Syrian Conflict Reflections, as we plan to deliver articles, and put book proposal. In the meantime, I was in charge of teaching; the Lectures relate to Syria in the ME modules.

2019 Dec- Jan 2020 Research Visitor in Arabic Centre for Research and Policy Studies, Doha, Qatar, Leading and starting a new and huge project with Doha Institute and Arab Centre in terms of Internal Displacement in Syria and Iraq. Working with famous and big network researcher worldwide to publish two books for these projects.
