Dr Brendan Carey

Politics at Penryn
Brendan is a Lecturer in Politics at the University of Exeter's Penryn Campus. He joined the department in September 2018. He currently convenes the module ’Modern Political Theory’. He also teaches on the ‘British Politics’ and the Berlin field trip modules. Brendan completed his PhD at Queen’s University Belfast on ‘Complex Multilateralism in Global Economic Governance: The case of India, South Africa and the G20’. Brendan is a Fellow of the HEA (AdvanceHE) and is working towards his senior Fellowship. He is an Aspire assessor and has completed assessments and mentoring in this capacity. Brendan is a personal tutor and a dissertation supervisor. Brendan is also a Primary school teacher has taught in schools since 2013. Brendan has a passion for Pedagogy. He is currently working on education focussed research on innovative approaches to student support and transition.
